Investigating IED Attacks

One member of a radical organization is captured at the scene of an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attack and investigators scour the communication detail records (CDRs) from the suspect's cell phone to identify other members of the group responsible for the attack.

By visualizing the communications, relationships and movements of the group in GeoTime's 3D Time viewer, investigators were able to catch those responsible for this specific attack, while gaining a more thorough understanding of the hierarchy of the group and identifying the group leader.
